Saturday, March 7th. Day 1

9:00 a.m. – Midnight:  Badges at the Hotel Montarto.

Accommodation in Hotels and ski rentals in Ski-Service.

  • Teams will have enough time to fill in a form in which they will indicate method of transport, location and arrival and departure times.
  • One minibus can be scheduled for previously announced late arrivals if the number of passengers is justified.

9:00 a.m. Opening of the Secretary’s Office of the Organizing Committee in the Hotel Montarto.

10:00 a.m. Reception for individual arrivals

The event in Baqueira is not official until 7:00 p.m.  The day’s activities are the responsibility of each participant.

  • Early arrivals will be free to do as they please, but they will be assisted by the O.C. if the participant so desires (hotel reservations, restaurants, etc.)
  • The ski passes will be offered by Baqueira Beret and can be picked up at the same time as the accreditation.
  • Accommodation in the Official Hotels will be available starting at 2:00 p.m.  A luggage and equipment check-in will be provided.

Food, drink, trips, taxis, etc. consumed or used by the participants who arrive early to Baqueira Beret, will be at their own expense, except for the dinner reception, which is included in the official program.

Sunday, March 8th. Day 2

All day.  Alpine Ski equipment Rental/Pickup

8:00 a.m. Hotel Montarto – Captains’ Meeting.  In the “Capitanes” Room.

  • Arrival and registration confirmation
  • Briefing and general program explanation.
  • Solution of possible problems caused during arrival or transfer.

Skiing with Station Guides and members of SCIJ Spain.

9:30 a.m. Meeting with the guides at 1800

  • Separation into Groups
  • Resort Discovery  (Safari Blue, Safari Red, Safari Black)
  • Lunch on the mountain with the Guides.

6:15 p.m. Transfer to Vielha. Bus 1-2-3

7:35 p.m. Opening Ceremony

  • On the esplanade of the Monument to the Aranese Language.

8:15 p.m. Tapas Dinner in Vielha offered by the Vielha City Council (a.c.)

11:00 p.m. 1st transfer to Baqueira. Bus 1

11:30 p.m. 2nd transfer to Baqueira. Bus 2

Midnight 3rd transfer to Baqueira. Bus 3

11:30 p.m. Open disco in Baqueira 1500

Monday, March 9th. Day 3

8:00 a.m. Hotel Montarto – Captains Meeting.  In the “Capitanes” Room.

All day. Skiing (non-guided).

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Visit the Beret Stadium with lunch in the high altitude cafeterias

Meals in cafeterías altitud.

6:00 p.m. Professional Round Table.

Theme:  “The Aran Valley. World Biosphere Destination”.

7:15 p.m. Think Tanks organized by the International Committee (In the “Capitanes” Room)

Dorsal Sweepstakes – Dorsal giveaway

9:00 p.m. Hotel Montarto, dinner offered by the Naut Aran City Council

11:30 p.m. Open Disco in Baqueira 1500

Tuesday, March 10th. Day 4

8:00 a.m. Hotel Montarto – Captains Meeting. In the “Capitanes” Room

2:00 p.m. Open-air picnic, location to be determined by Baqueira

5:15 p.m. Hotel Montarto. Room 2.

Presentation of the Pica d’Estats Prize

6:00 p.m. Hotel Montarto. Room 1

General SCIJ Assembly

8:30 p.m. Presentation of La Rosiere (SCIJ FRANCE)

Thursday, March 12th. Day 6

Cross Country/Open Skiing/Montgarri (optional) all day.

7:30 a.m. Hotel Montarto – Captains Meeting. In the “Capitanes” Room

8:30 a.m. Transfer to Beret. Bus 1-2-3.

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Equipment rental – Annex Circuit warm-up

10:30 a.m. Cross country Competition on the Beret Circuit – In line start

5:00 p.m. Return to Beret (6 km “left” route)

5:40 p.m. “Vin Cau” (warm sweet wine) offered by the Era Escola Ski School of Baqueira Beret.

(only skiers from Montgarri)

6:30 p.m. Transfer Bus 3 to Hotels from Beret.

Option 2. Transfer to the hotel

5:30 p.m. Hotel Montarto.  Post Tour Briefing

6:00 p.m. Hotel Montarto.  Press Conference.
